At Tessian, we have the ambitious goal of protecting enterprise networks against new and intelligent cyber threats, making it impossible for sensitive information to end up in the wrong hands.

Through advanced machine learning and natural language processing (NLP), Tessian prevents breaches in real-time, outsmarting traditional rule-based, admin-intensive approaches which can only report a breach after it has occurred.

Founded by a team of Imperial College engineers and backed by world leading VC firms, we work with international clients in the financial, legal and professional services sectors who trust us to find the most intelligent ways to keep their data secure.

Overview & Responsibilities

As the first dedicated account executive, this position provides an incredible opportunity with offers significant earning potential and fast-growth career progression. You will be a driven and engaging individual, who is determined to realise the potential of this role and help build out a team of account executives to help accelerate the company revenue through upsells.

You will be responsible for strategically assessing and realising the revenue opportunities within our rapidly-growing client base.

Our clients include the world's largest hedge funds, investment banks and law firms and this role will require you to build exceptional relationships at the C-suite level in order to identify new opportunities and foster long-term profitable relationships.

Whilst there is no pre-requisite technical knowledge required, you will have a genuine interest in technology and an appetite to learn about how the Tessian platform works, enabling you manage all aspects of the commercial relationship with our clients and provide unrivalled product insight.

You must be a focused and results-driven professional with a great work ethic. You will be focused on generating revenue for the company, minimising customer churn and drive annual account value.

2.1 or equivalent from a top-tier university

Previous experience in cybersecurity, machine learning or email security industries

Previous experience of the enterprise sales process

Our Hiring Process

We know you're busy and like to know what to expect from us, so here's our process:

We screen initial applications - CVs & Cover Letters (hint: We like to see well-written cover letters & we love to see your numbers; did you outperform your targets? Tell us just how much!)

We do initial screening calls with our Hiring and Client Development teams, to assess experience, fit and competencies. We want to know what interests you about the position, both in the type of role, and with Tessian specifically

We then have candidates complete a practical exercise in preparation for a final interview

Final face to face interview

And that's it! Sometimes we need to do subsequent calls/ coffee-meetings if members of the team are unavailable for the original face-to-face, but we try to keep our process short and sweet!


The exact salary will depend on the specific candidate but we expect a range for base salary of £30k - 50k (DOE) + performance based incentives (on track incentives are expected to total c. 100% of salary p.a.)
