Your Opportunity:

  • Monthly close process, account reconciliations, account analysis, and preparation of journal entries within functional areas: 
    • Cash – review bank reconciliations and daily journal entries prepared by staff accountant;
    • Prepaid expenses – review prepaid expense additions and review of final reconciliation at month end;
    • Fixed assets – review fixed asset additions and review of final reconciliation at month end;
    • Accrued expenses - preparation of monthly journal entries and account reconciliations;
    • Debt – review of new capital leases and preparation of monthly journal entries and account reconciliations;
    • Ensure documentation of and compliance with proper internal controls and SOX compliance;
    • Assist in preparation of monthly financial reporting package and analytics for functional areas;
    • Support the global consolidated audit and international statutory audits.  Provide schedules to international professional service firms;
    • Assist in maintaining and reporting on requirements for international entities;
    • Technical accounting research and implementation of guidance as needed;
    • Provide supporting schedules to VP of tax as necessary;
    • Preparation of ad-hoc reports;
  • Preparation and completion of other projects and tasks that may be required from time-to-time

What you'll need:

  • Candidates must possess a bachelor degree in Accounting from an accredited university/college
  • 3+ years of experience required in accounting department or public accounting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Highly motivated and detail-oriented individual who works well in a fast paced, time-sensitive environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple and changing priorities
  • Good analytical skills
  • Deadline oriented, strong leadership skills and the ability to complete tasks independently
