Job Description

As a member of the Product Insights team, you will work with our growing team of quantitative and qualitative researchers to improve the user experience for our customers.

You will generate insights based off of rich data to inform product decisions, direction, and strategy. You'll have an opportunity to interact directly with our Product, Design, and Marketing teams to surface critical topics, identify innovative practices, and develop high-impact solutions that create great user experiences and advance the state-of-the-art in user experience research.

For this position, we are looking for people with strong skills in behavioral data analysis, experimental and survey research, and statistics.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Define and drive research agenda for our new product development teams from conception through launch

  • Develop goals and metrics that reflect the user experience of a feature, product, or system

  • Identify the best qualitative or quantitative method(s) based on research questions, timeline and resourcing

  • Conduct both qualitative and quantitative research and data analysis - better yet, teach others how to leverage resources you’ve provided

  • Understand and validate new business opportunities

  • Track and understand customer and business impact after launch

  • Work cross-functionally with qualitative UX researchers, data scientists, designers, product managers, engineers, and the marketing team

  • Communicate results and illustrate suggestions in compelling and creative ways

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in applied product research

  • Bachelor’s degree focusing on qualitative or quantitative research, advanced degree preferred

  • Quantitative attitudinal research experience, such as survey design and analysis

  • Quantitative behavior research experience, including working in petabyte scale event logs

  • Demonstrated proficiency with statistical tools such as SPSS or R

  • Experience using SQL to pull data from a data warehouse

  • Ability to define how data is structured

  • Programming in Python or Java preferred

  • Understanding of qualitative research, such as interviews and ethnography, preferred
